What are User Journeys?

Dashboard totals show a pattern. User Journeys let you inspect the recorded activity behind it, including the pages, events and available goal or attributed purchase activity associated with a visitor identifier.

Follow the activity session by session.

Explore page visits and custom events in time order, alongside available source, device and location information. See what was recorded before and around an important outcome.

This is a timeline of tracked activity, rather than a video replay. It shows the activity Cromojo recorded and can associate with that identifier within the selected period and available retention.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers on recorded journeys and their scope. For more detail, see our docs.
What does User Journeys show?

A chronological timeline of recorded page visits, custom events and available conversion activity for a visitor identifier, organised by session.

Is this a session recording?

It is a timeline of tracked activity. It does not replay a video of the screen, mouse movements or everything the visitor saw.

Where do I open a journey?

From supported visitor lists, including the Visitors and Conversions views and loaded funnel completion visitors, subject to your plan's access.

Can I see custom events in the timeline?

Yes. Events recorded by Cromojo can appear alongside page visits in the journey.

Can I see goal conversions?

Yes. Matching goal activity can appear in the recorded timeline when goals are configured for the site.

Can I see purchase activity and revenue?

Where your supported payment connection and tracking provide attribution, purchase activity can appear in the journey. Revenue mode also shows a visitor revenue summary.

Does a visitor identifier represent a named person?

It is a tracking identifier, not a verified personal identity. Do not assume it connects the same person across devices, browsers or every visit.

Why might part of a journey be missing?

The timeline only includes activity Cromojo recorded and can associate with that identifier within the chosen period and available data retention. Untracked actions will not appear.
